We work in partnership with a number of local organisations and charities:
We are delighted to work closely with our neighbouring organisation, Selsey Community Forum, which supports communities across Selsey, Sidlesham and Hunston.
Like the Witterings Community Forum, Selsey Community Forum works to strengthen the local community by bringing people, organisations, volunteers and services together and developing practical projects in response to local needs.
Their work includes the Selsey Care Shop, community activities, befriending, support for carers, Good Morning Calls and initiatives designed to reduce isolation and help people remain independent and connected.
By working together and sharing knowledge, contacts and resources, we can help ensure that people across our neighbouring communities can find the information, support and opportunities they need.
The UKHarvest Community Food Hub at Bracklesham Bay is a friendly, welcoming place where local people can access a selection of good-quality surplus food that might otherwise go to waste.
For a suggested donation of £5, visitors can bring a shopping bag and choose from a range of rescued fresh and ambient food. The hub is open to everyone, with no referral needed, and no one is turned away.
Hubs are held at Bracklesham Barn every other Thursday from 3pm-4pm

Carers Support West Sussex is a local charity supporting unpaid carers across West Sussex. If you regularly look after a family member, partner, friend or neighbour, you may be a carer – even if you don’t think of yourself as one.
They provide free information, advice, practical help and emotional support to help carers manage their caring role while also looking after their own health and wellbeing. Support can include advice about benefits and carers’ rights, help with accessing equipment and funding, carers’ assessments, emergency planning and information about respite and other services.
There are also local support groups, activities, wellbeing services and opportunities to meet other carers, as well as telephone and online support. In the Chichester area, the local team offers opportunities for carers to talk to a member of staff face-to-face and access local groups and events.
Sage House, is a specialist centre providing support, information and activities for people living with dementia and their families and carers. It is a welcoming place where people can access practical advice, meet others in similar circumstances and find out about the support available locally.
Sage House offers a range of activities and groups designed to encourage social connection, stimulate the mind and support wellbeing.
The centre can also provide information and guidance around dementia, caring and accessing other services, helping families to understand what support is available and where to turn when they need it.
Community Outreach Group: Held every Monday (excluding bank holidays) between 1:30pm and 3:00pm, at East Wittering URC Church, Oakfield Avenue, East Wittering, PO20 8BU
My Sisters’ House is a women’s centre providing free, confidential and non-judgemental support to women across the Chichester and Arun districts. They support women experiencing domestic abuse, financial difficulties, poor mental wellbeing, isolation and other challenges, providing practical and emotional support to help women move towards safer, healthier and more positive futures.
Support includes one-to-one advice and casework, counselling, peer support groups, confidence and wellbeing courses, help with housing and finances, and support with training and employment. Their trauma-informed approach is designed to help women feel safe, listened to and empowered, without judgement.
My Sisters’ House has centres in Chichester and Bognor Regis and welcomes self-referrals from women who would like support.
St Wilfrid’s Hospice, which provides specialist palliative and end of life care to people across West Sussex and the surrounding area.
St Wilfrid’s supports people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families and carers, through a range of services including hospice care, community nursing, outpatient support, counselling, wellbeing services and bereavement support.
Their work extends beyond the hospice itself, with specialist teams supporting people in their own homes and working alongside other health and social care professionals including in the Witterings and surrounding villages.
We value the opportunity to work alongside St Wilfrid’s, sharing information and knowledge and helping local people and their families find the right support when they need it.
